We started the day with petit dejeuner in Tours and proceeded to the banks of the Loire watching ternes (they fly close to the water and skim it and drink) cormorants and some large white heron like bird WHILE sweating in the 90 plus weather. Doug is attempting to find/repair a spoke on his bike.
A long day. I almost hesitate to post. We got up just about 6am and had coffee and croissants. Then packed up the tent, and checked out by having our wrist bracelets cut off. Then we casually biked into Bèziers and arrived about two hours early.
We had gotten an early start from Capestang where we only stayed one night and arrived here before noon, which was just fine because it was getting hot and the trail was not always good.
