We've been working on putting a fence around most of the yard. Partially because I wanted to not be sitting in a fishbowl since the yard is on the corner of a neighborhood street and a busy street. I was also tired of watching cars go by. The busy side also has a bus stop. And finally to make it a little harder for people to pilfer from the yard.
We have been lucky to scrounge good used fence boards and good seconds from a fencing company --free.
This weekend we, or I should say Doug, will be putting the final touches on a couple of gates with latches and then we can sit back in our fortified gated community and hopefully not worry about things disappearing from the yard.
This has taken up a fair amount of our free time and our brain time. I am taking a break and Doug is working right now.
We have several projects already lined up for next year, which is good, and fall/winter is approaching so that is very good as far as the projects go (oh darn, can't do anything on them right now).
Beyond that I finally did another update to this site and am figuring out a possible new design for it. Hoping people start using it. Otherwise I will archive the pages into a Static format (no commenting or new posts allowed) and leave it up for posterity's sake.
I am also making just starting to make headway on art, writing, wild beauty lab and working on a website for an artist -a paying gig finally. I have too much on my plate. So if I am a little out of contact, that's why. Too much to do!
