We started the day with petit dejeuner in Tours and proceeded to the banks of the Loire watching ternes (they fly close to the water and skim it and drink) cormorants and some large white heron like bird WHILE sweating in the 90 plus weather. Doug is attempting to find/repair a spoke on his bike. It broke a couple of days ago on the occasionally wretched canal de midi. We got one, it was too short. He has ridden off to look elsewhere while I sit and watch the river and all our crap. I have to pee. Possibly there is a public restroom nearby. This is how it is, we are slaves to our bladder in this weather on account of all the water we are drinking. Me more so than Doug.
The entire region is preparing for some sort of fête that happens tomorrow with all kinds of live music and food and fun. We will be in the thick of t. I am concerned about finding camping nearby, Doug is not. Tonight will tell!
