Working on getting repeatable colors and effects in the soaps so I can start doubling up on batches. I have to make some slab molds next month to prepare for next year.
Working on giving a few blends more depth, more oomph, more wow! It starts out nice, sniffing things and making little baggies of scented q-tips to see how things go together. Then hours later it seems like I can't decide between them all. My hands smell great, just from handling everything today.
Now, feeling a bit creatively wiped after a long day in the soap room I've had enough and even felt a little light-headed. I'm having a glass of wine and trying to chill.
I'm agonizing over what blends to make to get me through the year, I missed the Duck the Malls deadline (it was nov 1st...i can never remember it, always seems too early). I got invited to do a 2-day market this weekend (Girlfriend's Holiday Market) because the soap person cancelled, but I don't have stuff ready. Next year then.
I'm taking soaps, scrubs and face washes to the coop on tuesday. I will be spending the weekend mixing, packaging and labelling.
I hope they do well, and I'm brainstorming on ways to tell people about them. I'm doing a little school market at somewhere here in town. And I really need to figure out some gift sets.
And I have the late night munchies.
