The new year! It has arrived. Not a lot different than the last year (so far), but there's hope. Starting off, I have adopted a new cat. Her name is Hatti (no 'e' on the end). She comes from a co-worker that recently retired and went to Colorado to assist in taking care of an infirm relative. The transfer was originally supposed to take place in mid-December, but Hatti was not ready (she had gone on a walk-about), but it finally happened yesterday, which is fitting, since it was the first day of a new year. So, some new year changes for her, Jasper (my current cat), and me. I'll post a picture as soon as I can get one. She is currently camped out under my bed, which is some progress, since she spent yesterday curled up in her little cat cave (a covered fleece cat bed). She did let me know how happy she is about the transition by defiantly NOT using her litter box last night, but doing her business right outside of it. She's a small little cat, purrs quite a bit when I've been able to pet her (by reaching into her cave and scritching her ears), she didn't scratch me, and hasn't hissed or growled. Jasper is not really bothered, he has sniffed around, but hasn't thrown a fit, so I think we'll be okay there. So, what's up with all of you?
