The furnace repair man came today. The motor is shot and the pipe is all rusted. He said that the furnace is old and lasted way longer than it should've. He quoted me $1800 for a new furnace. I told him I would have to discuss it with Seth first. He then pointed out that the water heater is leaking underneath. He looked it all over and said that we could just buy a replacement tank at HomeDepot for a few hundred dollars and hook it up ourselves...that's what he would do, cuz that's the only thing he saw that was wrong the rest of it looks good. Said to not hesitate too long on the replacement tank cuz otherwize there will be water everywhere in the garage. UGH He was very helpfull and nice, but didn't have any good news. sheeeesh
